Seven D101 Board Candidates Talk Upcoming Election
The field competing for four spots on the District 101 School Board is uniquely crowded due to the dropping of the caucus system for this election.
The seven candidates for the four seats on the District 101 school board—a field more crowded than typical for offices in Western Springs due to the abandonment of the caucus system for this particular election—spoke last Wednesday about why voters should put them on the District Board, The Doings Western Springs reports.
According to the paper, the candidates are Lisa Garvin, a stay-at-home mom, Michael Johnson, a real-estate investor, Charles Mudd, Jr., a lawyer, Julie O’Connor, a corporate lawyer, Elizabeth Reedy, an assistant Cook County state’s attorney, Brian Spears, a director of sales, and Gibbs, an attorney.
Gibbs is the only incumbent.
