Talk to the Congressman: Lipinski Hosting Town Hall Meetings, Senior Fairs

Town hall meetings scheduled for Feb. 9 in Lockport and Orland Park; senior fairs scheduled later in the month in Orland Hills, Lemont and Chicago.

U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski (D) is hosting two town hall meetings where residents of Illinois’s 3rd Congressional District can come rap with the congressman.

Constituents will be able to hear from Congressman Lipinski about his work on their behalf at home and in Washington, as well as questions and give their throughts on federal issues.

Staff from the congressman’s office will be available one hour prior to the start of the meeting to provide assistance with Medicare, Social Security, veterans’ benefits and other federal matters.

Both town halls are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9:

  • 9 to 10:30 a.m.
  • Lockport Central Square
  • 222 E. 9th St., 3rd Floor
  • Lockport
  • 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Orland Township Administrative Offices
  • 14807 S. Ravinia Ave.
  • Orland Park

The congressman will also be hosting three senior fairs in Orland Hills, Lemont and Mt. Greenwood in February. Members of the congressman's staff will be on hand to assist and guide seniors with questions about Medicare, Social Security, Veterans benefits and a host of other federal programs.

The senior fairs will also feature dozens of local organizations, agencies and businesses that provide services specifically geared toward seniors.

The senior fairs are scheduled for:

  • Monday Feb. 11, 10 a.m. to noon
  • Orland Hills Recreation Department
  • 16553 S. Haven Ave.
  • Orland Hills
  • Monday Feb. 18, 10 a.m. to noon
  • Lemont Park Dist. - CORE Building
  • 16028 W. 127th St
  • Lemont
  • Thursday, Feb. 21, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
  • Mount Greenwood Park
  • 3721 W. 111th St.
  • Chicago
