Holy Yoga!

The Presbyterian Church of Western Springs is hosting Holy Yoga in August and you are invited to join us.

The Presbyterian Church of Western Springs is excited to offer 3 sessions of Holy Yoga in August.  Holy Yoga combines world class yoga with a spiritual experience that offers believers and non-believers alike the chance to authentically connect with God.  We do this by integrating God’s Word, prayer, worship and the physical practice of yoga to contemporary and Christian music.  Led by Sue Bidstrup, R-HYI, Holy Yoga is a refreshing and renewing experience.

Holy Yoga is offered on August 11, 18 and 25 from 5-6pm at PCWS.  Our address is 5250 Wolf Road in Western Springs.  The cost is $10 per person, per session.  Dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat if you have one.  You are welcome to come to all the sessions or pop in to just the one or two you can make.  We hope you’ll join us for this chance to relax, reflect and strengthen our bodies and spirit.

What Else is Happening at PCWS this Week:

Vacation Bible School is on and we are having a blast!  Thank you to all the children, teachers and helpers who are making this week so special.  We’re hosting an “Everywhere Fun Fair” and the kids are joining us under the big top for Bible stories, crafts, great music, science projects and sports and games.  The kids are working on two mission projects---collecting money for Heifer International and melting used, broken crayons into larger crayons that are helpful to disabled children. Did you see the kids out on the lawn enjoying water sports?  Water Day was extra fun in this hot weather and we can’t wait to share our closing program this Friday, July 19, at 11:30am.  Join us for the closing program and stay for the family picnic.  Delicious food, good friends and lots of fun await!

Our older youth are gearing up for their Mission Trip with the Appalachia Service Project in Kentucky later this week.  They will be doing home repairs and other work for people in need in that area.

We’ll have Worship this Sunday at 9:30am.  Childcare is provided in our nursery and you are welcome to join us.
