Most Expensive Sale Recorded in Western Springs History

The home sold for $2.639 million after it was listed for $2.995 million in February. Chicago Magazine points out that it's the most expensive publicly recorded home sale in Western Springs.

A Western Springs home we featured in March for our "House Wow!" column recently sold, and Chicago Magazine points out that its $2.639 sale price was the highest in the village's history

The article in Chicago Magazine does clarify that it's the highest public transaction: "This is the highest-priced Western Springs sale that has been recorded with MRED, the multiple-listing service. Other homes in town may have been built for or sold for more in private transactions."

Patch featured the home in its "House Wow!" column in March, just 26 days after it was listed for $2.995 million. In the column, we said:

This six-bedroom home has been featured on the covers of real estate magazines, and it's easy to see why. Built in 2009, it has a fresh but elegant look with plenty of fun to be had.

That includes a golf simulation room, a game room, two pub bars, two wine cellars and an exercise room. There's plenty of space to sit around one of the many fireplaces as well. The kitchen features a large sit-in island, and the master bedroom has a spa bath.
