LTHS Improvement Goals Set For Upcoming Years

Major goals for the next three years are largely focused on improvement of Advanced Placement test statistics; other goals target safety and financial stability.

Lyons Township High School District 204 has finalized its goals for the next three years, including targets for the Class of 2017 (currently eighth-graders), The Doings La Grange reports.

According to the paper, one of the school's goals is to “create a climate where students are encouraged to enroll in at least one AP class prior to graduation," with 60 percent taking such classes (and 45 percent scoring a 3 or higher) by the time the Class of 2017 graduates.

Other targets for upcoming years include improving standardized test scores (including ACT scores), updating goals and learning tools, maintaining school safety and financial stability and improving college- and career-prep courses, the paper reported.
