Western Springs Area Schools to Re-Open Wednesday
Winter break is finally ending for LT and District 101 students.
Lyons Township High School and District 101 schools will re-open Wednesday after closing Monday and Tuesday due to the extreme cold.
District 101 announced its schools will re-open via a message posted on the district's website. Lyons Township said Tuesday it expected class to resume Wednesday, and has put out no message indicating otherwise.
Wednesday is a late start day for Lyons Township. Classes will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Students have not had to attend class since Dec. 20, when winter break began.
The National Weather Service's wind chill warning ended midday Tuesday. Wednesday's forecast calls for a high of 13 degrees, with wind chill factors of -10.
