Western Springs Recreation Dept 2011 Fall Programs

Registration is open for Western Springs Recreation Dept programs.  2011 Fall Brochures were mailed to all homes in WS.  Brochures are available at the Recreation Center, 1500 Walker; Grand Ave Center, 4211 Grand; or Village Hall, 740 Hillgrove.  It is online at www.wsprings.com/departments/recreation.asp or call 708-246-9070 and one will be mailed.

 

A variety of classes for all ages are available including the very popular ones as well as many new programs and activities.  Browse through the 2011 Fall Brochure to see the choices, review the registration policy and procedures, and call the office at 708-246-9070 for program information and availability.  Most programs begin the week of September 12.  Some popular Early Childhood classes include Sweetie & Me & Tots, Wee Gourmets and By-Gym-MiniYouth programming offers include Volleyball Clinics for girls, 5th & 6th Grade Basketball League,  Pilates, and several non-sports classes including Young Rembrandts art classes, and several painting or crafts classes.  Programs for Teens range from Dodgeball to Red Cross BabysittingAdults are offered a full range of programs beginning with open basketball times and several fitness classes. There are dance and exercise classes for adults both young and old.  There are also classes on cooking, painting classes, and other specialty classes.  Families should check out the childcare services, dance classes for all ages, and music lessons offered in either the WS Recreation Center or Grand Avenue Community Center.  Also, several Special Events are slated.  Seniors can take advantage of the Senior Center or join the WS Seniors Club.
