“It was an all-around great day for our team,” head coach Stetson Steele said. “The girls ran very well in their packs and used our numbers to our advantage during the race.”

Boys Golf

LT edged past Hinsdale Central in a 160-155 victory Sept. 6. Charlie Netzel and Chris Sekula shot 38s to lead the way for the Lions, followed by Dan Hudson’s 39 and a pair of 40s from Kevin Carlson and Peter Swanson.

This followed a first place finish in the Fenton Invitational Sept. 3.

“The team is playing solid golf right now,” coach Brian Kopecky said. “The goal is to continue to be consistent and shoot low scores.”

Boys Soccer

The Lions are 4-1-2 after taking their first three match-ups in the Pepsi Showdown.

It started Sept. 6 with a 1-0 win over Streamwood. Elliott Borge scored the game’s only goal, and Max Hadley recorded the shut-out.

Then, on Sept. 8, they trumped Mundelein 3-0. Borge scored again in that contest, with Jack Thomas and Spiros Kass accounting for the other two.

LT beat Larkin Sept. 10 to advance to the next round of the tournament.
