Lyons Twp. Grad Qualifies for Golf's 2014 U.S. Amateur
Western Springs' Daniel Hudson tied for second in a 78-player field Monday in Wisconsin to qualify.
A 2014 Lyons Township High School grad qualified for this year's U.S. Amateur golf tournament.
Daniel Hudson, who will be a freshman at Kansas University this fall, shot a two-round 141 on Monday, July 14, at Hidden Glen Golf Club at Bentdale Farms in Cedarburg, Wis., according to a press release by the KU athletics department. The Western Springs teen tied for second in the 78-golfer field, the release added.
The U.S. Golf Association's 2014 U.S. Amateur tournament will be Aug. 11 to 14 at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta.
