Chicago Blackhawks strength and conditioning coach—and D101 parent—Paul Goodman plans to bring the trophy to McClure Junior High on Tuesday, July 23.

District 101 families on the lookout for the Stanley Cup won’t have to venture far next week.

The Stanley Cup is scheduled to make an appearance at McClure Junior High on Tuesday, July 23, according to district representatives.

Blackhawks strength and conditioning coach Paul Goodman decided to bring the cup to McClure during his day with the trophy because his son will be an incoming student this fall, the Doings reported

The exact time is to be determined, but District 101 families will receive an email with details about the event. (When I called to confirm the date, a cheer went up in the office because only one of the staff members present knew about the auspicious visit.)

McClure’s gym has a capacity of about 2,000, the Doings said, and the viewing is open only to District 101 families and staff. The cup is expected to stick around 90 minutes for photos.
