Photo Gallery: Beating the Heat Wave at the Western Springs Pool
Members of the Service Club were out in force on Thursday afternoon to cool off as temperatures tipped the scale at 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
As , it got very, very hot on Thursday afternoon, so the high turnout at the (the proper name for the Village pool) was unsurprising.
Village kids splashed, slid and swam while many of their parents sunbathed or read, although plenty of those parents also spent time cooling off in the pool. The concession stand did a brisk business as well. Summer fun, above all else, prevailed!
