LT dance showcase to support homeless teens

The Lyons Township High School Social Action Club is hosting a Teens Dancing for Teens showcase on April 11, 7pm at the South Campus Performing Arts Center.

With a goal of raising at least $1,000 for homeless teens in Chicago, the Lyons Township High School Social Action Club is hosting a Teens Dancing for Teens showcase scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 7pm at the South Campus Performing Arts Center, 4900 S. Willow Springs Rd., Western Springs. Admission is $5 per person.

 

The event will help support Teen Living Programs, a program that assists teens whose lives have been interrupted by family issues and neglect. The program offers youth a new home and support with a focus on education, vocation, counseling, health care, nutrition and life skills.

The event will begin with a short video about Teen Living Programs, followed by performances by LT Eurythmics, Steppers, Greek Club and the Hip-Hop Club, as well as a routine by Matrix Dance Improv Company from Western Springs.

The LTHS Social Action Club helps those in need in local communities and abroad. Members of the club organize and participate in fundraising events, as well as volunteer for various organizations in the Chicagoland area.
