LT debaters prove strong showing at State meet

Ten students from Lyons Township High School qualified for and participated at the 19-school IHSA Congressional Debate state meet in mid-March at Illinois Wesleyan University. Four LT students, senior Alex Contarino, junior Max Medlock, sophomore Anika Ranginani and sophomore Sid Ariga, made it to the semifinal round. In addition, Ranginani had the third highest score in state during the preliminary rounds and was named to the All State Debate Team.

The Team is coached by Tom Swiontek and assisted by Jessica Lee, both are LT teachers in the Social Studies Department.
