LT student-artists take top spots in poster contest

Two Lyons Township High School students were named winners in the third annual Illinois Children of Mental Health Partnership Say It Out Loud poster contest, which is designed to promote speaking out about mental illness.
Senior Brandon Krcivoy, of Burr Ridge, was named the Overall State Winner with his drawing Be Your Own Hero, and junior Josh Seaman, of Western Springs, won 2nd Place with his poster entitled, The World Will Listen.

Alternative Program Social Worker Jennie Fanta says, “Finding projects to that tap into what motivates students, such as an art contest, ultimately helps students become more invested in school and helps improve their academic success. Creating the first and second place posters in the entire state is just icing on the cake.”
