Busy Weekend For Santa in Western Springs Area

Old St. Nick will be at the Hinsdale Christmas Walk and Clarendon Hills Christmas Walk Friday night before appearing at the Western Springs Festival of Trees Saturday afternoon.

Black Friday is behind us, which means the Christmas Walk weekend is approaching in the Western Springs area.

Here are the details on the Hinsdale Christmas Walk and Clarendon Hills Christmas Walk, which take place simultaneously on Friday night, and the Western Springs Festival of Trees set for Saturday:

Hinsdale Christmas Walk


Where: 
Downtown Hinsdale, Burlington Park, Memorial Hall

When: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday

Put on by: 
Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce

Featuring: 
Cookie the Gingerbread Man in Burlington Park, Radio Disney, ice-carvers, holiday carolers, trackless train, give-aways, strolling character sing-alongs.

Don't miss: 
Santa arrives by fire truck, tree-lighting ceremony outside Memorial Hall at 5 p.m.

Clarendon Hills Christmas Walk


Where: Downtown Clarendon Hills, Village Hall

When: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday

Put on by: 
Clarendon Hills Chamber of Commerce

Featuring: 
Holiday specials at select stores, strolling Victorian carolers, roasted chestnuts, candied nuts, horse-drawn carriage rides.

Don't miss: 
Tree-lighting outside Village Hall at 6 p.m.; strolling mime at 6:30 p.m.; Santa arrives at The Triangle for photos at 7 p.m.

Western Springs Festival of Trees


Where: Downtown Western Springs, Tower Green

When: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday

Put on by: 
Western Springs Business Association

Featuring: 
Holiday treats at local businesses, photos with Santa at Heartland Bank, Frankie Ace Magic, the Tower Chorale, LT Madrigals, roving carolers and Christmas reindeer and snowman.

Don't miss: 
Tree-lighting at 4:45 p.m.
