Position Description

The 7th Illinois House District is one of 118 in the state. It is currently represented by Karen Yabrough (D-Maywood) and covers parts of Westchester, Bellwood, Hillside, Berkeley, Maywood, Forest Park, River Forest, Broadview, La Grange Park and Western Springs.

Yarbrough is not running for re-election, as she is unopposed in a bid to become Cook County Recorder of Deeds. In 2012, four Democrats are vying in the March General Primary for their party's bid in November General Election. No Republicans or independents have filed or declared candidacy.
