Saturday afternoon saw the arrival of the Western Springs Christmas Walk to downtown Western Springs, complete with mascots and trees and food and drinks business specials and wonderful Christmas and holiday spirit for all! The Western Springs Business Association, who sponsored the event, provided us with some terrific photos from the event, from the mascots to music to some cheerful residents! (See more photos at the WSBA Flickr page!) And we're certain that there were plenty of other shutterbugs there; how about sharing some of your own snapshots as well? The annual Hometown Holiday event on Saturday, Dec. 1 is one of the area's biggest of the year. Here's everything you need to know to get out and have some fun!
La Grange’s Hometown Holiday event, popularly called the Holiday Walk, is scheduled for this upcoming Saturday and promises, as usual, to completely overtake the La Grange downtown as local businesses and organizations go all-out to both entertain the public and promote themselves during the December shopping rush. “We are so fortunate to have a local community that understands the importance of supporting the small business owner,” said Ryan Williamson, president of the La Grange Business Association, which hosts the event, in a press release. “Hometown Holiday is eagerly anticipated by everyone as a way to celebrate the season and celebrate La Grange—all while giving back to the community economically.” Highlights this year include a …
