Tyler Jacob Sanders was born to a couple from Brookfield on Wednesday morning.
The first baby born at Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital in 2013 entered the world at on Wednesday morning (Jan. 2), after the hospital saw no births on New Year's Day itself. Tyler Jacob Sanders was born at 9:11 a.m. on Wednesday, weighing a healthy 7 pounds, 12 ounces and standing 20.5 inches long. Little Tyler (can we call him T.J.?) is presumably the first baby born in the La Grange and Western Springs area so far this year, barring any out-of-hospital births we don't know of. Baby boy Sanders is the son of Terry Sanders and Marcela Marquez-Sanders of Brookfield. He is their first child; according to his father, he was born four days ahead of schedule. Adventist La Grange's Dr. Shaheen Misbah performed the delivery.

As we ring in the New Year here in Illinois, more than 150 new laws will hit the books, including legislation aimed at increasing employee privacy, a new law that cracks down on parents of underage drinkers and more.
