The former site of an Original Pancake House on La Grange Road that closed in 2007 was leveled last week in order to make room for potential new commercial development in La Grange Park, the Doings La Grange reports. Although there was much interest in the one-story building, according to the paper, it was ultimately unattractive to tenants because it lacked handicap accessibility, modern sprinklers and an elevator to the basement. “Now one of our prime goals is to have people come by and have a vision for what the site could be," Peter Barritt, property manager for TBZ Realty & Management Corp, told the paper.
