The Burr Ridge/Western Springs Beebe family’s five boys are all combat-sport stars; three of them, including two active MMA fighters, will open their gym on Saturday.
Many siblings grow up occasionally pounding the heck out of each other. For the five Beebe brothers, that was their flat-out way of life. “I had a lot of holes in my wall,” laughed mom Lori Beebe, of Western Springs and formerly of Burr Ridge. “It ended up getting to the point where I literally padded the basement and put wrestling mats down wall-to-wall.” It paid off. All five of the brothers—Cole, Chase, Conor, Carson and Carter, pattern intentional—became amateur wrestling superstars, with Chase and Carson now regulars on the professional mixed martial-arts circuit and joining Conor in opening Beebe Trained, a new training gym on the east side of La Grange at 300 S.
