Local Mom Makes Custom Desserts and Delivers, Too
Cindy Henning of La Grange decided to make a career change after her son was born; she studied the trade and now creates from-scratch, unique cookies and cakes, and delivers the goodies to La Grange and Western Springs.
Next week my youngest son turns 17. We are taking him and a couple of his friends to a Chicago Bulls game to celebrate. My son isn’t really a cake lover—he’s always preferred an over-sized cookie for his birthday "cake." I’m always stumped on finding something creative for him and usually just buy one of those huge cookies that are available at some of the chain stores. This year, I have found the solution that is yummy, creative, and suits my son. And, it's local! Sugar Mom Treats is a homemade desserts company started by a La Grange mom, Cindy Henning.
