A Brookfield woman who police said fled the scene of an accident Feb. 4 must answer to DUI charges after Western Springs officers caught up with her a mile-and-a-half from the crash. Stephanie S. Gose, 40, of the 3600 block of Grand Boulevard, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 5:35 p.m. after her car struck another vehicle waiting at the traffic light at the corner of 47th Street and Gilbert Avenue, police said. Gose's car rear-ended the other car, which was stopped at the traffic light facing eastbound on 47th Street, according to the report. WEDNESDAY, DEC. 19 An employee at a business on the 0-100 block of South La Grange Road reported at 1:04 a.m. receiving threatening texts and messages. Police are investigating and have opened a case file. A hit-and-run was reported at 12:35 a.m. on the 200 block of North Catherine Avenue. According to a crash report, a resident’s car was struck in the rear right side by a vehicle, which then left the scene. Graffiti was reported at 9:53 p.m. on the back of a building on the 500 block of Shawmut Avenue. The amount damage the graffiti caused was not estimated.
