RSVP to Patch's Main Street U, to be held 5 to 6 p.m. May 1 at Now Serving Cafe in La Grange. Learn how you can use Patch to market your business and use other social media sites.
La Grange Patch and Western Springs Patch are pleased to announce Main Street U, a free event designed to teach business owners how to improve their online connection to the community. Business owners will learn how to take better advantage of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as the tools that Patch offers, with a workshop delivered by Patch staffers on how to add your own content to the online conversation. RSVP by filling out the form posted above to attend Main Street U, to be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at Now Serving Cafe, 725 W. Hillgrove Ave. in La Grange. The bakery, which opened in Now Serving Cafe last November, is expanding to its own space this year.
Apparently La Grange has a big sweet tooth. After opening in Now Serving Cafe last November, Isn't That Sweet bakery is moving into its own space on La Grange Road this year. Palos Heights resident Nicole Betourney’s dessert catering company was formerly exclusive to catering, but made the move to selling individual cupcakes and other treats when it opened in Now Serving. The La Grange West End has a new business offering cupcakes and French pastries at an established café just outside the Stone Avenue station.
It’s a match made in heaven: Now Serving Café and Isn’t That Sweet. The latter, Nicole Betourney’s dessert catering company, opened its permanent location in the 16-year-old La Grange café in early November. Formerly exclusive to catering, Isn’t That Sweet now also sells individual cupcakes and various French pastries available for purchase with your Now Serving meal or coffee. “It was a perfect match for the both of us.
