FOREST PARK A River Forest woman was charged with a DUI after crashing into another car near the Forest Park police station at 11:20 p.m. May 15. Katheryn I. Morley, 24, of River Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and destruction of property. An officer heard a car crash near the Forest Park police station and found two cars involved in the accident. Morley appeared to be drunk and said she was at FatDuck to watch the Blackhawks, police said. A witness said he was driving north on Des Plaines Avenue in front of Morley and saw her hit a parked car. Police said her blood alcohol content was .217, more than two times the legal limit. Sunday, May 19 A 17-year-old Western Springs boy was cited with consumption of alcohol by a minor after an officer checked on his well being around 12:15 a.m. in the 900 block of 54th Street, Western Springs police said. The teen was walking with a group in the street. Officers later arrested Viviana A. Cockriel, 19, of the 4000 block of DuBois in Brookfield, around 1:55 a.m. in the 3800 block of Woodland Avenue, police said. Police responded to a call about a verbal fight between two people in the street and found that Cockriel had been drinking, according to the report. LA GRANGE A woman caused a disturbance at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road, around 1:58 p.m. after her insurance declined to cover a prescription she was picking up for her mother, police said. The woman called police because Walgreens wouldn’t give her the medication unless she paid for it out of pocket. The officer told her this was a matter between her, Walgreens and the insurance company. She became disruptive, called the officer a few names and stormed off, the report said. Three girls who looked like they were in eighth grade took bricks from the yard of a vacant property in the 900 block of South 8th Avenue, police said. Sunday, May 12 A driver ran into La Grange National Bank, 1013 Burlington Ave., after she accidentally pressed the gas instead of the break when pulling into a parking spot around 5:13 p.m., police said. She also struck a light pole and high curb. No one was injured. Thursday, May 9 Margaret Mary Vocius, 25, of the 3900 block of Wolf Road, was cited for driving without insurance and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident around 3:56 p.m. in the 4400 block of Gilbert Avenue, police said. Sunday, May 12 Joseph Mollo, 23, of the 9000 block of Skyline Drive in Burr Ridge, was arrested around 1:47 a.m. near the intersection of Hickory Drive and Red Oak Lane, Western Springs police said. An officer said he stopped Mollo for failure to signal and noticed his breath smelled like alcohol. FOREST PARK Harold S. Sledge, 53, of Chicago, was charged with solicitation after police spoke to him about sleeping on the sidewalk near the CTA stop at 1 S. Harlem Ave. Sledge reportedly told officers "f*** you," and gave them multiple fake names, including "Doreen Jesus," "Sledge Stevens" and "Jesus St. Steven." He was given a June 4 court date. Joseph J. Avila, 23, of Chicago, was cited under a local ordinance for public intoxication after police said he was throwing beer in the street. OAK PARK Someone stole $1,570 in various gift cards from a desk drawer at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in the 500 block of S. East Avenue. The theft occurred sometime between April 16 and April 23. A man attempted to abduct a 14-year-old girl in Oak Park last week but drove away when she said no, police reported Wednesday. The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. April 26 in the 800 block of Division. Police said the man honked at the Oak Park girl and waved to her, then passed a second time and yelled, "get into my car." He drove southbound on Oak Park Avenue after the girl said no. Monday, April 29 George L. Zimmerman, 62, of the 1000 block of North Bridge Street in Yorkville, was arrested near 55th Street and Gilbert Avenue at about 1:40 a.m., police said. When an officer pulled him over for having a broken muffler, he said he noticed Zimmerman’s speech was impaired and his eyes were glassy. A receptionist at the business said Crawford asked to leave the bathroom, then made a masturbatory gesture without exposing himself. The woman demanded he leave three times after calling the police. He was given a June 5 court hearing. Jamal J.
