DOWNERS GROVE A dog was attacked by a coyote in the 5300 block of Meadow Lane in Downers Grove on Oct. 15, police said. A man was standing in his front yard around 6:30 a.m. when he heard his Havanese dog whimper, police said. When the man looked to see what had happened, he saw a coyote running northbound from the area with the dog in its jaws. The dog was 12 years old, weighed 11 pounds and was unleashed, police said. LA GRANGE Jamal D. Williams, 21, of the 7300 block of Winthrop Way, Downers Grove, was charged with attempted theft after a resident of the 500 block of South La Grange Road reported at 4:46 p.m. that he was chasing two men who had taken his bike from his backyard, police said. DARIEN Darien Police are investigating an incident of indecent exposure that was reported to the department Friday. According to the report, a man in the area of 71st Street and Beechnut was seen in a Honda watching a girl under the age of 18 walking down the street. "The male had his pants unzipped and was masturbating while in the vehicle," said Darien Police in a media announcement about the incident. DOWNERS GROVE A Downers Grove woman lost more than $13,000 in a lottery scam, police said. The victim mailed cash and numerous checks to a foreign man last week who told her she won a $2.5 million lottery jackpot. La Grange police were called at about 10:56 p.m. June 9 to investigate two people having sex in Gordon Park, 31 E. Ogden Ave. When police arrived, they could not find the couple. Cook County sheriff’s police reported June 6 that a 31-year-old La Grange man, wanted on a local warrant for driving while his license is suspended, is in Cook County Jail on another matter. Crime can happen anywhere, even at a peaceful parlour. According to Geneva police reports, someone took about $200 in cash from Peaceful Parlour, 212 South Third St., sometime between 5 p.m. June 2 and 11:30 a.m. June 3. Residents from two homes in the 900 block of Allmen Avenue in Hinsdale reported at 11:54 a.m. June 9 that notes of a threatening nature were left on their …
