Readers' Choice Winner: Mécénat

Mécénat in Western Springs was this week's Readers' Choice winner in our Food and Drink category.

This week's winner, Mécénat, should come as no surprise. Patch reviewers have given it 4.5 stars, and came out in force to show their support. With its rustic look and nicely lit bar, it's no wonder folks from Western Springs (and all over the western burbs) like to drop by for a bite and a drink. It's equally suited for a date, dinner with friends, or a solo stop for an end of the day cocktail. Mécénat has quickly developed a following for its menu, since it opened in March 2011, with beautifully plated items like pan-seared duck breast, a hearty seafood stew and a grill pork tenderloin served with bacon mac and cheese (I just got hungry).
