Ridgewood Water Quality: Water Plant Chlorine Day Tanks Now Online

Water plant staff will monitor the water quality in Ridgewood over the next week to observe if the chlorine residuals in the Ridgewood subdivision improve.

The permanent chemical feed system for the chlorine day tanks at the new reverse osmosis plant are now online as the Village of Western Springs continues to monitor water quality issues in the Ridgewood subdivision, the village said Thursday.

The new tanks allow the chlorine feed to be controlled by the plant's SCADA control system and allow for finer adjustment and control over the amount of chlorine going to distribution, according to the village.
