On Saturday, July 13, the waves B team headed to the Hinsdale Stingrays camp with 72 athletes ready to compete with their A game. Out of 58 events, the WAVES athletes brought home 81 finishes in the top 5. Of those, 47 were either 1st or 2nd place! The team looked fantastic and were clearly there to win it all. Some great times were delivered by all the age groups.
In the 8 & Unders, Grace Tisa delivered a 23.6 in the 25 yard backstroke and Joshua Langan and Zachary Thornton tied for 2nd place in the 25 yard butterfly with a fast time of 29.56 seconds.
The 9 & 10 year olds were really fantastic in the 50 yard butterfly with the London White, Nancy Vlk, Joelle Szumski and Kate Mitchell placing 1st through 4th respectively and a top time of 41.32.

Zach Patrick brought home 1st place in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 41.79.
Not to be outdone, Vivienne McBride won the 11 & 12 year old 100 yard freestyle with a speedy time of 1:11.25 and Connor Filipiak won the 100 yard individual medley with a time of 1:38.16.
