3-Car Accident Reported in Western Springs

Wait Your Turn


A 20-year-old Berwyn man was cited for failure to yield, police said, after he drove his 2002 Pontiac Grand Am forward from a stop sign at Grand Avenue and Oak Street and into a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe that had the right of way and was already moving through the intersection at 6:12 p.m.

Both vehicles were damaged but no injuries were reported.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 25

3 Cars Involved in Crash


A 17-year-old female juvenile from Willow Springs was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, police said, after her 2007 Honda Odyssey struck the rear of a 2006 Nissan Xterra after the Xterra reduced its speed in the 700 block of Burlington Avenue at 9:18 p.m.

A third vehicle, a 2012 Honda Accord, struck the rear of the Odyssey following the first collision. All three cars were damaged but no injuries were reported.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 24

Left-Turn Trouble


A 60-year-old Hinsdale woman was cited for failure to yield, police said, after her 2008 Toyota Camry struck the front fender of a 2007 Ford Focus while the woman was attempting to make a left turn from eastbound 47th Street to northbound Wolf Road at 3:30 p.m.

The car that was hit was traveling westbound through the intersection. Both cars were damaged but no injuries were reported.

MONDAY, SEPT. 23

More Left-Turn Trouble


An 88-year-old La Grange Park man was cited for failure to yield, police said, after his 2006 Audi A6 struck the rear fender of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra while the man was making a left turn from westbound Ogden Avenue to southbound Wolf Road at 11:30 a.m.

The car that was hit was traveling eastbound through the intersection. Both cars were damaged, but no injuries were reported.
