Ridgewood Chlorine Levels Still Lowest in Western Springs

The Village of Western Springs released its latest update on the Ridgewood water supply Monday.

Chlorine levels have improved in Western Springs' Ridgewood subdivision, but they are still lower than those in other parts of town west of Woodland Avenue, according to the latest Village of Western Springs water quality update released Monday.

Water plant operators took samples at each hydrant following the completion of hydrant flushing in the neighborhood on Sept. 30, reads the update, which can be found here on the village's website.

"This sampled information is being forwarded to our contact at Baxter & Woodmand and a follow up meeting will be scheduled to review the information," the update reads. "Public works crews will also reinspect valves identified at locations where a chlorine residual is dropping off to determine if all are functioning properly."
